Remarks

The sketch, as well as the canvas Chill November, Winter 1916–17 (1916-1917.12), was originally titled First Snow Ducks (information from David Taylor, who cites a letter to F.B. Housser, Toronto, from the Sarnia Art Gallery, 7 January 1927, in the archives of Gallery Lambton, Sarnia).
